As a nonprofit organization, the Embery Institute for Wildlife Conservation relies on donations to fund its programs. You can help us broaden the reach of the Institute's conservation message through education and support the work of key organizations both locally and globally. Your money supports Joan's educational programs, as well as local and international hands-on environmental projects. To donate or volunteer, please get in touch.

About our volunteer program:

Our goal is to give students exposure to the challenges and daily demands of maintaining a captive collection of wildlife. From preparing diets, record keeping, maintenance, point compliance, animal handling and training, and public presentations, volunteers can hone their skills and become more prepared to pursue their educational, career, and personal growth goals.

It takes a team, and everyone can play an important role in helping to achieve our goals of conservation education. Our volunteers range from high school students to senior citizens, but they all share a passion for animals and nature.

Join us! You, too, can be a conservationist!
