The opening night reception for the new show Joan Embery's My Animal World at the Bonita Museum and Cultural Center was a sold-out success! Guests, museum members and local luminaries met Joan and her husband Duane Pillsbury and enjoyed her personal insights and stories about the show's exclusive selection of photos and memorabilia from Joan's ranch. Joan Embery is best known for her conservation work and many television appearances with exotic animals on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and Jay Leno. This exhibit explores her equestrian side, travel and more. The Joan Embery's My Animal World exhibition runs through January 7th, 2017. For Immediate Release: The Bonita Museum and Cultural Center presents Joan Embery's My Animal World exhibition about San Diego native Joan Embery. Opening October 21 and continuing thru January 3, 2017, the exhibition will showcase the life of this iconic San Diego Zoo "Wild Animal Ambassador" and local horsewoman. The opening reception is an evening event with Joan Embery, and will take place Friday, October 21, from 5:30pm - 8:00pm.
